THE 2013 version of the Siam Cup could well be considered unique for its content, although the final scoreline at a windy but bright St Peter on Saturday was probably one that most of the near 2,800 crowd were expecting.

Look merely at the bare stats and it seems a comfortable, routine home win for the Reds, with seven tries - several of them spectacular - scored to just one early poached effort from Guernsey stand-off and captain Blair Campbell.

It was also director of rugby Ben Harvey's fifth successive victory in the series, with Guernsey now having scored only 19 points in total during that sequence.

The early moments had looked ominous for Guernsey, with Jersey ignoring possible pots at the post for scrums.
