European T20 squad places up for grabs says captain

JAMIE NUSSBAUMER admits that tomorrow's Twenty20 encounter with the MCC is an opportunity for Guernsey's players to stake European claims.

With the ICC European Division One T20 championship on the horizon, this week's match at Port Soif is one of the final chances for the representative team to play together prior to travelling to Sussex.

Injuries to Lee Savident, Dave Hooper and Will Peatfield aside, the 12-man squad looks to be near full strength and has attacking batting options aplenty.

Tim Ravenscroft, Ross Kneller, GH Smit, Jeremy Frith, Tom Kimber and Ben Ferbrache are all involved, with captain Nussbaumer, pictured, admitting it is an exciting time.
