YET again, it was Darren Warwick savouring FTD honours at the latest hill climb meeting and all roads now lead to the Nationals in July.

The island's premier driver arrived at the Guernsey Kart and Motor Club meeting only early-afternoon, straight from driving off the boat back from France, but he was in blistering form.

After a start to the 2013 season that has been indifferent by his own incredible standards, he went sub-29sec. in all three of his timed runs, getting progressively quicker each time to clock 28.19sec.

Just three-tenths away from his all-time local record, it was comfortably enough to be the fastest of the day, although close friend Nick Saunders also excelled with 28.76.

'It was a bit of a rush today for me and obviously Nick had already set the bar pretty high with his time,' said Warwick.
