TEAM UK YOUTH, with Tobyn Horton among their ranks, dominated the Jersey Evening Post Town Criterium blue riband event in blistering fashion.
Horton, the Guernsey rider who has been in fine form for his professional team in the ongoing UK Tour Series, eventually saw fellow Channel Islander and team-mate Greg Mansell win the race in front of his home fans.
But it was a CI one-two as Horton shrugged off the attentions of team-mates Ian Wilkinson and Yanto Barker to claim silver, as the team dominated from start to finish on the mile-long circuit through St Helier.
Almost as soon as the race started, Mansell and Barker were the first two of the team to break away and open up a 20-second gap in the hour-long race.
That was soon bridged by Horton, closely followed by Ian Wilkinson and that quartet, travelling at over 30 miles per hour, continued to distance themselves from the chasing pack.
