OLLIE NIGHTINGALE may have just have created his own niche in the long history of Elizabeth College cricket with his match-winning century against the MCC.

In modern times, no college player has managed the magical three-figures against the famous tourists, but with no playing records over the past century readily available, nobody can quickly prove whether Nightingale's 124 from 125 balls faced is a unique effort in the history of EC cricket.

Regardless, it certainly was a magnificent innings and one that impressed college coach Jeremy Frith.

'He played in a quite mature way,' said Frith of the No. 4, who scored his maiden century last August against Sussex Districts.
