MORE than a decade after their last success, Elizabeth College got their hands back on the Hutchence Cup in dramatic fashion at Footes Lane last weekend.

Competed for between Elizabeth College and their Jersey rivals, Victoria College, the Guernsey school had not won the meeting since 2002 but edged it by two points on this occasion.

The final result of 82-80 was achieved in the face of some fierce Victoria resistance, notably with two Hutchence Cup records.

Up-and-coming Jersey star Stanley Livingston, who ran a World Junior Championship qualifying time over 400m hurdles last week, crossed the line in 13.2sec. to lower the all-time sprint hurdles mark.
