T20 star Maddy to help 'Pack the Soif'

DESPITE losing the GPL III's best performer so far, Ravenscroft Warriors will have another Twenty20 star in Darren Maddy when the tournament sees a new winner crowned on Saturday.

Anthony McGrath stole the show in the opening match of last weekend when he opened the batting with a swashbuckling 87 from just 54 balls that went a long way to defeating Mourant Ozannes.

With twice-champions Mourants going on to lose all of their games, the line-up for the final has been confirmed as the Warriors v. BDO, even before Friday's final two group matches.

Guernsey Cricket Board chief executive Mark Latter is urging as many people as possible to watch the action, particularly Saturday's 3pm showpiece.
