Great outward nine the key to Falla's success

A BRILLIANT front nine laid the platform on which Graeme Falla built his Braye du Valle Cup success on Wednesday.

Playing off 10, Falla was only one over par gross as he reached the turn in just 36 shots.

Having started with a par, he then birdied the second for four points and was on his way to victory.

Another four-pointer was to come at the sixth and Falla completed his outward nine with a net birdie at the ninth for a 22-point tally at the halfway point in his round.

He remained solid into the back nine where he added a further three net birdies on the 14th, 15th and 17th.
