WITH an extra week to prepare for the Channel Island Individual Matchplay final, James Hamon will not use injury as an excuse should he fall short.
And with confirmation that his hand injury isn't as bad as initially feared, the 17-year-old is also ready to launch an assault on the £500 top prize at the inaugural Ravenscroft Guernsey Open Matchplay.
The start of that new and exciting event is a day after the delayed CI final between Hamon, pictured, and Matthew Parkman at Grouville, put back seven days to Sunday 30 June.
Aimee Ponte's women's clash with Jenny Deeley is now also on the same day.
