Perrio lowers record

FOR the second time in five days Louise Perrio has bettered one of her own island distance records.

The Guernsey star, pictured, was first woman home in the Highgate Harriers 10,000m Open event at Parlianment Hill in London.

Her time of 36min. 10sec. clipped 23.7sec. off the existing time set on her home track at Footes Lane two years ago.

It will also boost her confidence with the UK national championships on the horizon, which clash with the NatWest Island Games in Bermuda where she will not be defending her 5,000 and 10,000 titles.

Her next outing will be over 5,000 in next Saturday's big track met of the local calendar – the Intertrust.
