TONY VANCE is urging the local community to support his 'aspirational' team as they continue to look for the financial backing to keep their FA Cup dream alive.

On Thursday, the club confirmed that to enter the competition for the first time, they would have to comply with a series of special regulations set out by the FA that were 'financially unviable' for the club to undertake.

That led to a call for '60 saviours' to each pledge £100 per match in the FA Cup and FA Trophy, with the response that by yesterday evening 25 businesses or individuals had signed up, including the club president, Matt Le Tissier.

'Count me in,' he tweeted.

'We've had a good response ... it's certainly a very good start,' said GFC director, Mark Le Tissier, pictured.
