SARAH GARBUTT and Rob Smart will both mark their final Island Games with the honour of being Guernsey's two flag-bearers next month in Bermuda.

Badminton player Garbutt, the most decorated player in the sport's Games history, will lead in the Sarnians at the opening ceremony in just 16 days' time, while mountain biker Smart will do likewise at the closing ceremony.

Both have confirmed that these are almost certain to be their last Games after careers stretching back to 1987 (Garbutt) and 1997 (Smart) respectively.

The pair were speaking at the launch of Team Guernsey's official tracksuit at Footes Lane, where 14-year-old swimmer Annalise Munro, the youngest member of the team, was named as the water carrier.
