Early birthday present from one brother to other

BIG brother Tom gave Sam Le Huray an early 20th birthday present on the 18th in yesterday's second round of the Star trophy.

The elder Le Huray hit an iron to just 32 inches at the last, a virtually tiddler which Sam, 20 today, duly holed to clinch victory in the annual and popular open foursomes.

The Le Hurays' net 68 after an opening 70, was enough to win them the trophy on countback from Liz Darling and Michaela Stacey-Goldberg.

The brothers were a model of consistency with both chipping particularly well.
