JAMES HAMON hopes that he can 'put his stamp on Guernsey golf', as he gets ready for one of the biggest weeks of his career yet.
The 17-year-old (pictured) travels to Jersey tomorrow to take on Matthew Parkman in the 36-hole Channel Island matchplay final at Grouville, looking to add a maiden win to his first island title.
Then, he starts the inaugural 16-player Ravenscroft Guernsey Open Matchplay on Monday as the top seed, taking on Luke Blondel in the first round at La Grande Mare.
He is confident of success in both, although the clash with Parkman is top of the priorities' list right now, where he hopes his putting is back to its best.
'There is no reason at all why I can't beat him, he is a good player, but I don't fear anybody,' he said.
