Sarnian four put out title-holders
IT WAS just as if the Le Quesne Trophy had yesterday morning been magically transported to – of all places – the Republic of Ireland.

Guernsey took on the defending champions from Jersey in the semi-finals of the British Isles men's fours championship in Dublin, and won.
The Sarnians came out on top, just as they had in the inter-island championships, with Len Le Ber, Garry Collins, Gary Pitschou and Matt Le Ber powering to a convincing 24-10 win over Ian Partridge, Darren Clarke, Kevin Le Long and Didier Falher.
'It wasn't as straightforward as it looks,' said Guernsey skip Matt Le Ber afterwards.
'They led 4-1 after three ends, and were actually holding two good shots when Didier moved the jack and gave us the shot.'
