HUNDREDS of junior school pupils snatched the chance to experience a new sport on Saturday.

Water polo, softball, table tennis, golf and fencing were some of the disciplines at which youngsters tried their hand at the Sports 4 All event.

The fundraiser for the St Martin's Primary PTA will help raise money to maintain the school's all-weather pitch and to provide a new climbing wall.

Plenty of smiles were on show at a street-dancing workshop where youngsters busted moves to the sounds of plenty of modern hits.

PTA member Mary Elliott, who had organised it with chairman Helen Fleming, said the youngsters had really enjoyed the experience.
