Ponte makes it a CI treble

AIMEE PONTE has completed a hat-trick of Channel Islands women's titles.

The 17-year-old Guernsey starlet yesterday won her third consecutive CI crown by defeating Jersey champion Jenny Deeley 4 and 3 at the Royal Jersey Golf Club.

Victory at Grouville means that Ponte, pictured, has now won the title at all three venues which host the prestigious event, having previously tasted victory at La Moye and L'Ancresse.

She has also won the Guernsey title at both her home Royal Guernsey course and at La Grande Mare, so can claim to have completed the set of domestic honours in the summer before she leaves for the University of Texas.
