TWO years on from their gripping team gold medal in the Isle of Wight, everything is in place for Guernsey to repeat the trick again across the Atlantic.

That is the view of team manager Kathy Stuart, who joins a 10-strong Sarnian team going to Bermuda, that includes seven of the successful 2011 side.

Big guns Paul Le Tocq, Kevin Le Moigne, Sarah Garbutt and Gayle Lloyd are all present again and, assuming that they get out of a group containing Bermuda, Gibraltar and rivals Greenland, they will face another decisive semi-finals and final day.

Last time, they defeated the Isle of Man and Faroe Islands in nerve-racking matches, both 3-2 after gruelling encounters, to secure the gold despite being unseeded.

Those two islands will probably lie in wait again, but Stuart is confident of successfully retaining the crown, especially with the addition of star female player Elena Johnson.
