And the heat will be really on

OF ALL the travelling Team Guernsey, it could well be the squash players who find Bermuda's conditions the most brutal in mid-July.
For while temperatures hit 30C outside and with high humidity, the eight Sarnians with racquets in hand will face the brutal prospect of non air-conditioned courts.
And as squash director Martin Watts explained, the anticipated style of play will also make it extra difficult for a new-look Guernsey team, one that is missing some established names.
'The ball is going to be much quicker through the air, bouncing a lot more and therefore rallies will be longer than normal,' he said.
'So the players will be spending longer on court and facing up to two or three games a day, so it is going to be extremely tough, although at least the preparation areas near the courts will be air-conditioned.
