Priaulx races back

ANDY PRIAULX'S love for street circuits has again borne fruit.

After a distinctly ordinary start to his second DTM Series campaign in which his four finishes have been 17th, 19th, 19th and 22nd in grids of 22 cars, he started the second half of the season with a ninth-place finish in front of 120,000 fans at Norisring in Nuremberg.

This after qualifying sixth.

'It has been a brilliant weekend and we had a really solid pace,' said the relieved Guernseyman.

'Qualifying was good and now I have a car I am really happy with, so that is all positive.

'I think what happened in the race was out of my control with the safety car periods, and no one really understood why at times it was called.'
