THE XVth NatWest Island Games came to a close in Bermuda last night with Guernsey fifth in the medals table.

The Sarnians completed the week with 19 golds, 16 silvers and 24 bronzes to finish behind top-of-the-table Isle of Man, the hosts, Jersey and the Cayman Islands.

Guernsey's final medal came via the men's half-marathon team, who claimed silver in the event, the final one of the Games.

The evening concluded with the ceremonial lowering of the International Island Games Association flag, which was then presented by IIGA chairman Jorgen Petterssen to Phil Austin, head of the organising committee of the 2015 NatWest Island Games in Jersey.
