'His was a phenomenal round of golf,' said tournament organiser Bill Le Huray afterwards, having seen the 13-year-old nine-handicap edge out Robbie Garner on countback, the two of them finishing three clear of Alderney's Dante Walker.
'It was tough conditions,' said Le Huray. 'It was probably a force four to five, but they did well.'
Sadly, the anticipated Jersey contingent did not arrive, but nevertheless there were still 23 entries playing across white and red tees.
Arguably, the performance of the day and, most certainly the best shot, came from eight-year-old Rory McKenna. With his six-year-old brother Conor on his bag, Rory brought home 39 Stableford points.
