THE Raysons had a good day – a grand well spent.
Saturday's early August hill climb produced numerous fine drives and a share of records – six to be exact – but for the husband-and-wife combination of Scott and Emma Rayson it was a particularly decent day, admittedly an expensive one, having forked out for a new set of tyres.
But what's £1,000 when you both share the same love of racing and there are personal bests in sight?
Scott produced a stunning drive of 30.76 to improve on his own non-trans axle class record, while Emma was only a fraction behind, with a 31.90, and became the fastest ever woman up this hill in the 'ugly' ones.
