IT'S not all doom and gloom, insisted team manager Mike Kinder after he saw Guernsey U19s lose their fourth straight match in Rotterdam yesterday.

'They are not down, the boys are all right,' said Kinder, having watched the side lose by seven wickets to tournament favourites Scotland.

'There are some positives to take from it and we've now got a big match on Friday against the Netherlands, when we need to relax. There's nothing to lose.'

Four of the Guernsey squad have won a place at senior team level this year, but reputation continues to count for nothing for Nic Pothas's youngsters in the Netherlands.
