Druce breaks 200m record

TOM DRUCE has set a new island record over 200m.

The Sarnian made the most of a perfect 2.0m/s wind to win the B race at the Lee Valley Sprints Evening in a personal best time of 21.32sec. to improve his own Guernsey mark.

'The race went off a few minutes before 10pm so it was pretty chilly by that time, so the low temperature might have equalled out the wind advantage a bit,' Druce said.
