No wins but Guernsey U15s emerge with plenty of credit

AN INEXPERIENCED Guernsey outfit completed their ICC European Under-15 Championship campaign yesterday unable to register a win but with plenty of positives.

The Sarnians, many of whom still have a couple of years remaining at this age group, lost both their matches over the weekend at Rugby School to be consigned to the bottom of the table.

On Saturday, Jersey cruised to a seven-wicket win to claim Channel Islands bragging rights and finish this year's tournament with two victories and two defeats.

Guernsey still had a mathematical chance of claiming fourth place if they had beaten the Netherlands yesterday, but it was not to be as they lost by six wickets.
