GARY PITSCHOU made it six of the best yesterday as he lifted the Elliott Singles trophy once again.

Already a five-time previous winner of the Island Men's Championship, the home player was in imperious form at the Vale Rec's Corbet Field green as he eased to a 21-8 victory over Todd Priaulx.

In doing so, he also prevented his opponent from claiming the Elliott and Open Singles double after Priaulx had staged a remarkable fightback to edge out Matt Le Ber in the Open Singles final 24 hours earlier.

Meanwhile, on an adjacent rink on Sayurday afternoon, Lucy Beere was being crowned island women's singles champion once again as she beat Jan Lawrence 21-9.
