FOUR new signings will make their competitive debuts when Guernsey kick off their second National League campaign on Saturday.
Flanker Matt Thomas, fly-half Sam Whitehead, centre Ben McDougall and fullback Matt Ball will all pull on the new green-and-white hooped shirt that is commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Guernsey Rugby Club when the side travel to Tonbridge Juddians for their season opener in National Three London & South-East.
'The newcomers have settled in really well,' said GRFC head coach Jordan Reynolds.
'Sam Whitehead is a calming influence at fly half and has a really good kicking game, as does Matt Ball, which we need to put ourselves in good position. It is not something we have always had in recent times and it is really vital for us.'
In addition to the newcomers, there is also the welcome return of Robin Le Cocq following his time with Massey University RFC in New Zealand, having left the island at the end of the 2011-12 season.
