THE Guernsey Table Tennis Association will be making their return to British National League action this weekend under the name of Ravenscroft.

The GTTA have taken the decision to return to sending two teams away to compete in the National League this season and this will provide much needed exposure to regular overseas competition for more of the island's top players.

An encouraging sign for the local side is the return of Channel Islands No. 1 Garry Dodd after a year competing in the Premier Division for Kingfisher last time out.

Dodd leads a strong-looking Sarnian squad, which also includes the highly talented Alice Loveridge and the returning Olly Langlois following a year out from the game.

Phil Ogier is another player to have regularly competed at the highest level and his experience should prove important to Ravenscroft I's performances this year.

Experience can be seen throughout the entire ranking list and includes the likes of Adam Langlois, Matt Stubbington, Liam Robilliard and Paul Hainsworth, who are all likely to play a big part in the second team's campaign.

Add the improving Stacey twins, Lawrence and Josh, to the mix and there is certainly a good level of strength in depth evident.
