New Super League bowls

CHRIS DYER likes hot competition.

It was what kept his juices flowing in a football career which yielded more Muratti caps than any other Guernseyman, bar the legendary Les Collins.

Now the boots have been ditched he is no different on the bowls carpet or on the golf course.

He wants to win, he wants to be challenged and it was with that in mind he came up with the competition which the Guernsey Indoor Bowling Association are backing to the hilt and pinning their hopes on this winter.

The Project Triples Super League will feature the vast majority of the best indoor bowlers in a 12-team competition that will fill all six rinks of the stadium each Wednesday night this winter from the start of next month.
