A DOZEN records fell as the motor racing season ended in style with a remarkably quick Petit Bot hill climb on Saturday.

In line with all events throughout 2013, there was a bumper entry list and the long line of competitors did not disappoint, defying the greasy nature of the course impressively.

Tim Torode picked up 'FTD' honours with his time of 25.90sec. on the final run of the day, his being the only 'sub-26' time, while those on two wheels also impressed.

Lee Le Feuvre from Jersey was the fastest motorbike in 28.40, but it was his friend and close rival Oliver Holmes who accounted for one of the longest-standing records in Channel Island motorsport.

The time of 29.02 in the motorcycles 501-to-600cc class had stood for 17 years to Marc Maubec's effort of 1996, but it is now Holmes' name adorning that spot after his brilliant 28.83.
