BASINGSTOKE scored a try with the last play of the game to beat Guernsey this afternoon at Footes Lane.
The home side had led by 10 points with just three minutes remaining but, while down to 14 men with James Regnard in the sin bin, they conceded two late tries as the visitors won their first game of the season in National Three London & South-East.
The sides had been level at 15-15 at half-time, Guernsey's first-half tries coming from Shane Taylor and Matt Ball.
Further tries from Dale Rutledge and Nick Barton in the second half gave Guernsey a four-try bonus point, but ultimately it was a disappointing day for Jordan Reynolds' men.
