IT IS advantage Indies in the Men's Division One title race.

Andy Alford's men maintained their perfect start to the campaign with a fifth straight victory on Saturday at Footes Lane and at the same time inflicted a first defeat on champions Colombians.

It means Indies are six points clear at this early stage of the season.

'At the moment it's all pretty good,' said captain Alford.

'Of course, it could be a season of two halves like we had last season when we just needed to get something out of one of three games against Colombians at the end but couldn't manage it.

'Collectively, though, I think we are stronger this year.'

In Saturday's other Division One games, there were 4-0 wins for Casuals and Unwantables over Elizabeth College and Yobbos respectively.
