RANGERS returned to the top of the FNB Priaulx League last night, after their 4-2 victory away at North.

Dave Parrott, Aaron Ockleford, Ali Venosa and Ollie Dowding scored for the red-and-blacks, whose coach Paul Ockleford was absent on this occasion, but in charge in his absence was assistant coach Andy Robilliard and he was delighted with the performance.

'We did really well tonight, there were good displays from every single one of our lads and in the end, it was a fair result,' he said.

Simon Tostevin scored both North goals including one from the penalty spot.

Meanwhile, across the road at the Corbet Field, Ollie Lepp's 92nd-minute goal gave Vale Rec a 1-0 win over St Martin's.

'To be honest I thought it was a dour game, but it is great to get the win and the three points, hopefully we can kick on from here,' said Vale Rec coach Carl Le Tissier.
