Slow start costs Guernsey again
THE inability to produce an 80-minute performance continues to hinder Guernsey.
THE inability to produce an 80-minute performance continues to hinder Guernsey.
The green-and-whites suffered their third straight defeat in National Three London & South-East on Saturday after falling 12 points behind in the opening quarter-of-an-hour to Hertford.
Guernsey fought back and came within a post width of earning a draw in the second half, but ultimately it was another disappointing afternoon as they lost 15-12.
'We either start well and finish badly or start badly and finish well at the moment,' said head coach Jordan Reynolds.
'In attack, we actually played some really good systems and we did everything we possibly could to win that game, it was just in defence that we let in too many easy tries.
'Going to Hertford is always pretty tough. They have ambitions to go up and they are a very good side so what we had to try and do was shut them down, which we didn't do early on.'
