Jennings to return to ring

MATT JENNINGS is set for a long-awaited return to the boxing ring at Beau Sejour in February.

The 37-year-old crowd favourite has not been in action for more than 18 months, after a decision by the Amateur Boxing Association in the UK to stop boxers fighting in the senior ranks from the moment they reached their 34th birthday.

But the 'Masters' section that they created – and saw match-making difficult for Jennings and fellow veteran Tom Duff – has been axed and they have now been told they can box in the seniors until they turn 40.
