ANDY ROBERTS has stepped down from his roles as Guernsey Hockey LBG chief executive and chairman after six-and-a-half years.
Increasing family and work commitments over recent months have led to his decision.
A statement released by the Guernsey Hockey board thanks Roberts for 'the fantastic and immeasurable contribution that he has made to the board and Guernsey hockey as a whole'.
'Much of the time and work that Andy has put in over the years has gone unnoticed including his contributions to IT and the take on of the bar, amongst other things,' it said.
'The board feel that Andy has left behind a robust corporate governance structure in the board members and we are pleased to announce that Peter Stahelin has stepped into the roles that Andy vacated.'
Looking ahead to 2014, Guernsey Hockey have revealed that as well as new branding and a new website, the board is hopeful that the Footes Lane pitch will be upgraded in the close season should sufficient funds be raised.
'Peter Stahelin has been working tirelessly behind the scenes, with Culture and Leisure and other hockey bodies, to ensure that we are in a good position to move ahead should funding be available.'
