GUERNSEY got a taste of their own medicine on Saturday, according to their head coach.

After a run of five successive victories culminating in wins over two of the top three sides in National Three London & South-East, the green-and-whites were unable to pull off another giant-killing act at second-placed Old Elthamians.

'It was a pretty tough day for us,' said GRFC coach Jordan Reynolds.

'You would have thought our momentum would have carried us through, but whether it was just us not turning up on the day or that OEs did not allow us to get into the game at all, I'm not too sure.

'To be fair, that was probably the best performance I have seen from OEs against us.

'They were fearsome on defence – they did to us what we had done to East Grinstead and Dorking.

'They are gunning for a top two spot come the end of the season and you could see that in their intensity.'
