LOOKING like he had never been away, Matt Jennings returned to action in some style in front of his vocal fans and helped Guernsey to complete a great escape at Beau Sejour on Saturday night.

Five fights into the 12-bout card against a strong Hull Select team, the local Amalgamated Boys Club were staring down the barrel of a hammering in the big Open Show, as all five decisions had gone against them.
But from that 5-0 deficit, they hit back superbly to win six of the next seven – Dan Kirk's surprising unanimous defeat to Max Willis the only other Sarnian reverse – and with it, draw a cracking night of boxing 6-6.
