WITH their season-defining league matches just 11 days away, Guernsey Panthers returned to winning ways at the Grammar School last night, defeating their spirited Royal Navy visitors.
The Sarnians lost last time out in Division Three South with a performance that captain Nena Copperwaite publicly criticised, but in this friendly clash they had far too much for their UK opposition and produced a promising display.
'It was a tough game against decent opposition and it is good preparation for Brize Jets,' said Panthers joint coach Gill Queripel.
