Watson wins first qualifying match at Indian Wells
HEATHER WATSON maintained her recent good form with an excellent 6-1, 6-4 victory over world No. 84 Virginie Razzano yesterday in the first qualifying round of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

Watson will now face world No. 99 Teliana Pereira from Brazil, this evening British time, for a place in the main draw.
The BNP Paribas Open, one of the WTA Premier tournaments, is the most attended tennis event in the world outside of the four Grand Slams.
