The 21-year-old Guernsey star enjoyed an excellent run at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells in California where, having started the tournament ranked 134th, she beat three players ranked higher than her to progress through qualifying and the first round proper before eventually losing out to world No. 3 and second seed Agnieszka Radwanska.
