Jersey pull away to retain main inter-insular trophy
FOR more than half an hour at Fort Regent yesterday it seemed Guernsey's best netballers could pull off a shock win and deny the Caesareans a ninth straight win in the Senior A match.

But Jersey finished strongly to win 48-28.
At the end of the first quarter, Guernsey led 10-7.
They extended that lead to 14-8 early in the second, but Jersey pegged it back and by half-time it was 20-19 to the home side.
Sadly, Jersey then took control and ran away with the spoils.
Panthers' only win of a tough weekend was the superb 51-34 win for the Veterans.
