The event was hosted by Middlesex at Muswell Hill GC and Hampshire won all of their four matches with Ponte going through the week unbeaten.

She formed a formidable foursomes partnership with Kerry Smith as they won four points out of four as Hampshire's first pairing out in every match.

They started as they meant to go on with a 7 and 6 hammering of host pair Tracy Beal and Josie Gregory-Jenkins on the first morning before following that up with a 6 and 5 win over Sussex, a 2 up success against Surrey and a 4 and 3 victory over Kent.

Ponte went on to add two-and-a-half points out of three to her individual tally in the singles matches she played against Middlesex, Sussex and Surrey.

Hampshire now go through to the England Golf County Finals at Belton Park GC Lincolnshire in September, although Ponte will be unavailable as she will have returned for her second year at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
