Watson sets up meeting with world No. 12
HEATHER WATSON showed all her fighting qualities yesterday evening to register an impressive win over the world No. 37 in the first round of the Aegon International in Eastbourne.

The British No. 1 came back from a set down to win 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 against Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova, who is 33 places above the Sarnian in the WTA rankings, in a two-hour battle in the fading light at Devonshire Park.
Watson takes on Italian Flavia Pennetta in the second round, with the two having never met on the tour before.
Pennetta is the current world No. 12 and is the tournament's sixth seed.
The match is the third on centre court today.
