DANNY BLONDEL barely gave the opposition a sniff of a chance, let alone any hope, in completing a superb Laserwash and UV trophy double at L'Ancresse.

Winning an island matchplay title is one thing, but the island's only 72-holer runs it close in that consistency of performance is the order of a tough week and Blondel was just that, finishing just one over gross for the competition and victory by five shots in the scratch stakes and six on handicap.
