Cobo regain crown as Evening League kings

COBO returned to the summit of Evening League cricket last night after a demolition job of deposed champions St Pierre.

The side who have dominated Division One in recent times, but lost out last year, have proven unbeatable thus far in 2014.

And they saved their most comprehensive success for match seven and the win that brings them their eighth title in 10 years and 16th in total.

'We have played well this season and have had to overcome one or two scares here and there, but are pleased to win it,' captain Jamie Nussbaumer said.

'Cobo have a big tradition in this competition and that will always make it an important title to win and after last season, we wanted to win it back.'
