Watson overcomes world No. 12 in epic encounter
HEATHER WATSON battled for arguably the best win of her career yesterday as she edged out Dominika Cibulkova in a gripping Rogers Cup encounter.

After very nearly three hours of tennis on the hard courts in Montreal, it was Watson who eventually came out on top in the tightest of finishes 6-2, 6-7 (3), 7-6 (5).
It sets up a third-round encounter today with the brilliant Belarusian and eighth seed Victoria Azarenka, in what will be the fourth meeting between the pair.
