Jonathan Hobbs of Ashford AC and Angela Martin of Surrey WC won the 2014 Church to Church titles.
Hobbs was one of the pre-race favourites along with local walker Jason Le Noury and true to form it was these two that made the pace for the first few miles.
Suffering more over the final miles Le Noury had to give second best to Hobbs who crossed the line in 3-04.19, after moving well along the seafront finish.
Jason Le Noury finished an easy second in just under three hours six minutes, with Jim Ball in third in 3-19.
First woman Angela Martin battled with her husband Malcolm coming down the home straight, with the couple being split by only three-quarters of a second in Malcolm's favour.
