Resolute 'Rezzers' aim to compete with new recruits
FIRST evidence is that Resolution IT have not taken kindly to losing their Specsavers Winter League Division One title.
Thunder A pipped them to the crown last winter, but the close season saw Rezzers make some moves in the transfer market and it has not taken long to highlight that the club means business this season and it may well be a two-pronged challenge for the title.
The fact that Resolution Black, previously regarded as their second string, beat the champions first up and this campaign have Verina Tomlin to call on, suggests that the championship will perhaps be even more hotly contested than last year.
As Kristy Webber explained, 'both Greens and Blacks teams have some similarities to last season in the team make-ups, but, at the same time, both have new players.'
Black won a thriller against the champions 33-30, while Green thrashed Blaze B 64-19.
'In both games I think it took us a while to settle with our new teams,' said Webber.
'We have tried to balance the teams pretty evenly so that we continue to have competitive games throughout the season and I think we have got that.'
